Toothpicks, bows, candles, cupcake papers, glass candle holders, sun glasses, stickers, broccoli, punch, cookies and a lot of enthusiasm were the ingredients used in the creation of holiday candles and eyeglasses during a Holiday Craft Class at GraphX shop in Overton on Saturday, November 26.
For six weeks, beginning November 5, this series of craft classes have offered young local artists an opportunity to create their own ornaments, wreathes, stockings, cookies and picture frames.
Co-owner Roxanne LaBeau of GraphX and LaBelle Maison, affectionately known as the “Pink House,” has opened the doors and is offering her expertise and artistic talent to encourage the youngster in discovering the joy of making their own holiday decorations.
Inspired by the beautiful Christmas decorations offered in the store’s joyful pink rooms, the young artists’ enthusiasm grew and grew as the candles took on the Season’s glow and the glasses were transformed into delightful windows on Holiday joy.
The classes will continue. The last two classes will be held Dec. 3 (Cookies) and Dec. 10 (Picture Frames).
