Fishing The Overton Arm
By Loren Brooks
Here’s the big striper that Bradley Taylor of Logandale, caught on Saturday. According to Pat Brown, this has to be the biggest striper we’ve seen alive. We have seen lots mounted or in pictures but this girl has a big tummy.!
We’ll let you know how much it weighed. None of us had a working fish scale!
It was caught in the Overton Arm………they are out there folks, we all knew it! See you on the lake – Pat and Stan.
It was also a very good day for Walt, Junior and Bud, who got into a big school of Striped Bass Saturday. They counted 54 in the live box.
The big Striped Bass caught by Bradley is the talk of the town. Bradley caught the fish on a lure, (not further described). Bradley is well known for the lures that he makes. A follow up story on the size and weight of the big fish will be of interest to all us fisher’s of the Overton Arm.
Keep hoping for the day when the road is opened for all of us to use the Overton Beach boat ramp. It seems that the water continues to be on the rise. With warmer temperatures, fishing will get even better.
“Keep your lures in the water, the waters of life”.
