J. Lynn Whipple

J Lynn Whipple past away peacefully January 14, 2012 in Hurricane, UT. He was born January 10, 1937 in Cedar City, UT to John Edgar Whipple and Elsie Jorgenson. He grew up in Logandale, NV. He married Cheryl Willoughby and they had three children. They divorced and J Lynn married Marty Muns April 17, 1976. They were sealed in the St. George LDS Temple June 25, 1977.

J Lynn worked for Laura Scudders potato chips as a vendor in San Francisco and in Las Vegas. In 1972 he went to work for Silver State Disposal/Republic Services where he retired in 1999. He loved to farm, and loved his animals. He always took in the stray dogs and cats. He was a member of the LDS Church and enjoyed his callings. He loved his family and his wife, Marty, who passed away April 15, 2010. He married Dee Turnbull who took care of him in his illness.

He is survived by his children Sandy (Richard) Alba, Nicholas (Tina) Whipple, son-in-law Michael Ricciardo, his step children Donald Muns, Roy (Oralia) Muns, David (Margie) Muns, Lynn Bulow, 20 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Rhonda Ricciardo.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Warm Springs Cemetery.
