Farm Food Swap To Be Held
The Moapa Valley Educational Farm Foundation (EFF) is hosting its quarterly food swap on Saturday, February 11 at the Old Overton Gym. The first food swap, held in November, was a success.
Some of the items traded previously included olives, fresh vegetables, baked goods, hot sauce, and a variety of canned goods.
No money will be exchanged at the food swap event. The currency will be the food that participants bring to swap.
“Nevertheless, “Participants should be aware that this is a community swap and the items being traded are not necessarily prepared in any “approved” kitchen or space inspected by any government agency,” said EFF Vice President Whitney Donohue.
Although this is a community event, the EFF is asking participants to pre-register to attend. Registration information can be found at www.educationalfarmfoundationmv.com.
