“Evening Of Music” To Feature Local Organists
The next in the series of community Evening of Music programs will be held Tuesday, February 21 at 7:00 pm. at the LDS Logandale Stake Center on St. Joseph St. across from Moapa Valley High School.
This program, among other musical selections, will highlight organists in the Moapa Valley. Local organists Trudy Bradford, Susan Whipple and Sherrie Whitney will perform organ solos. The Zephyr Strings and organ will also join together for a finale number.
In addition, the program will feature other musical selections including a vocal solo by Pam Jensen; a Beethoven Piano Trio by Vernon, Trenton and Jessica Robison; a viola solo by Marya Romero and a violin solo by Josephina Romero.
“This will be a delightful evening of music from our local musicians,” said Gaye Nelson, who has been coordinating “The Evening Of Music” series this season. “We thank the LDS Church for allowing us to hold it at the Stake Center so we may have the use of an organ.”
Admission to the concert is free.
The following Evening of Music concert will be held on March 13, 6:00 pm at the Old Logandale School. The program will highlight students in Moapa Valley, from elementary age through high school.
