LETTER: Senior Center Community Concern
Recently, there have been some rumors about our finances at the Senior Center. We, the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors would like to advise the community that we recently had a State audit, in which our records were found to be 100% correct. Our employee, the Director Chris Trombley, is doing a great job, in spite of funding cuts.
At this time we would like to thank you for the donations and support of our recent raffle and bazaar and also the support and donations at the Senior Center Thrift store to everyone in the community.
We ask for your continued support so that we may carry forth with the programs for the seniors in the community, such as the Meals on Wheels program for the homebound seniors, the transportation program that brings seniors that are unable to drive to the senior center for meals, and also for shopping and post office trips and the transportation program that takes seniors to Las Vegas, Mesquite and St. George for medical appointments.
Other activities available at the center are ceramics, quilting, exercise classes, line dancing, pool and computers and internet access.
The Board of Directors of the Senior Center want to thank Chris Trombley for the wonderful job she is doing and support her 100%.
Thank you,
Carol Schreiner, Chairman
Lita Fisher, Vice Chairman
