Recently while waiting for my wife to pick up a few needed grocery items a head appeared through the vehicle window to ask if I wanted to buy some tamales being sold out of a car. I asked the woman if she purchased the ingredients with food stamps and after a hesitation she replied “Yeah, so what”.
For every $1.00 spent for Social Security another $0.75 is spent for welfare, “Yeah, so what”. Now the Progressives are threatening a lawsuit if Nevada’s Welfare Offices don’t make a larger effort to register more welfare recipients to vote, “Yeah, so what”. Our State Representative Pete Goicoechea has no problem voting to make sun setting taxes permanent and would consider adding a 2% sales tax to our groceries, “Yeah, so what”.
The Elko County Commissioners are getting ready to vote an increase to the highest gas prices in the state by $0.025/gallon because the citizens haven’t come up with cost saving solutions, “Yeah, so what”.
Maybe the next time our government comes to us with more tax increases to keep themselves comfortable we need to tell them “Yeah, so what”.
