The Logandale Volunteer Fire Department invites you to participate in their Arena Off-Road Challenge Friday November 2, 2012. Come be a spectator or participant. The course is adjacent to the Logandale Fire Station in Logandale, NV. Although registration and vehicle inspections are required, there are no costs for this year’s event, however, donations are gladly accepted. A 50/50 raffle will also take place during this event.
Come as a spectator and cheer your favorite driver through one or all of three challenges. Or bring your licensed and insured 4×4, along with a co-pilot, and challenge the course yourself.
The Bump In The Night challenge, sponsored by Karen Alsum Insurance, will be first. In this event, the blindfolder driver is guided by his/her co-pilot through an easy, timed, obstacle course including turns and back-ups. The team with the best time wins.
In the SPUD RUN challenge, sponsored by Partners In Conservation, drivers will go through a course with potatoes placed in strategic locations, either on the ground or on obstacles. The driver must get his/her seat belted passenger close enough to reach and retrieve the spuds with a trash picker. The team with the most spuds and the best time wins.
In the Splish Splash Dash, sponsored by Whitney Water Systems, a bowl of measured water will be carried in the lap of the passenger while the driver gingerly navigates through the obstacle course trying to keep as much of the water in the bowl and completing the course with the fastest time. The team with the most water left and best time wins.
Registration and vehicle inspection will be at the fairgrounds along side the Vegas Valley 4 Wheelers check in on Thursday and Friday. At 3:00 pm on Friday, registration and vehicle inspection will move to the Logandale Fire Station. The course will open at 4:00 pm. At 8:00 pm the course will be closed and the awards ceremony will follow immediately.
