Do we want the world’s governments to determine our domestic firearms laws? Back in early May of 2010, while we were all watching an oil spill and a failed terrorist bombing attempt, along with other front-page news issues, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton signed a small arms treaty with the United Nations. They have a legal, although extraconstitutional way around our 2nd Amendment, and intend to use it. What is lacking in skill is being made up in deviance.
Our 2nd Amendment protects us from the ‘political progressives’ steps to ban firearms in the United States, and to force gun control on our law abiding citizens.
I used to believe it was the Democrats doing this to us, but it is all of them now. By signing binding international treaties they are using the State Department to go around our regular legislative processes in Congress. Once these treaties were put into place, our citizens have been subject to laws created by foreign governments. Why don’t we know this? They are using tactics and methods of gun control that have negated that part of our national Bill of Rights, and before we, the people, even realized what was happening. And, so far, not many of us have noticed. Also, if you are wondering, yes: the ability to tell the future DOES WEIGH HEAVILY ON MY SOUL!
Have you tried to buy ammo lately? Until recently there had been no lengthy debates over gun control reported in the media. We woke up one day last week to discover that only short clips were available and shell reloading supplies were in extremely short supply, and that transfer of ownership is almost impossible, and many of us are being required, at gun point, to turn in our own hunting rifles and small arms to our own local collection and destruction centers. (I hope they come to my house.)
Will enough of us notice this is a problem before it reaches Critical Mass? I can’t stand it! Please go to Reuters and look this up. Being informed and armed is the only way to save ourselves, our Constitution, and our nation.
Before anybody asks me my definition of gun control, I will tell you. The ability to hit your target and nothing else is gun control.
