New Local Salon Opens Saturday

The team of the new Leather and Lace salon and boutique get together for a photo in preparation for the shop’s grand opening on Saturday.

Shave and a haircut…2 bits!

All you country folk can head over to the Leather and Lace Salon and Boutique this Saturday June 1 at 6:00 pm, for the grand opening!

This western style salon and boutique is bringing old and new services to Moapa Valley. They will be doing hair, nails, tanning, and even bringing in an esthetician for skin care. But that’s not all, you can also find stylish items to purchase including purses, boots, belts, tops, jeans, and even jewelry. All of these items will be available at the Grand Opening as well as crafts, and a fun time to meet the staff and make appointments.

The salon and boutique is opening at 463 N. Moapa Valley Blvd, next door to the Water Hole, where the Overton Physical Therapy used to be located.

Leather and Lace owner, Kerbee Pendleton, has been working hard the last several months to dress up the boutique and salon. This has long been Pendleton’s dream.

“I’ve always wanted to set up an old west saloon-themed salon and boutique,” she said.

Pendleton plans on having a wall of fame where local cowboys and cowgirls can be showcased. She will even give those cowboy’s a discount if they show their PRCA card, a card that qualifies them to compete in PRCA Rodeos.

“In rodeo there is so much to pay for, so I want to have a place where they can come and get cleaned up for cheap when they are in town,” Pendleton said.

Pendleton, Meri Black, and Mckenzie Statton will be doing hair. Vicki Hall will be polishing up nails. And Stephanie Devall is the esthetician that will be working at the shop. These girls and Pendleton’s mom, dad, and sister; as well as property owner Kay Leavitt; have been instrumental in getting the salon and boutique ready to open, she said.

Pendleton said she has gotten a great response from people in the community, and looks forward to providing these services.
