Beulah Artz
Beulah Agnes Artz, age 92, died peacefully at her daughter’s home in Logandale, Nevada. She was born January 3, 1921 in West Corinth, Vermont to Clyde Henry and Nellie McFarland Barr. On September 26, 1936 she married Clair Theodore Artz in Fairview, Montana. He preceded her in death on September 12, 2001.
Beulah had a difficult upbringing, she was only seven when her mom passed away. She was moved to different family homes, eventually in Montana. She made the best of it and was happy after her marriage to Clair. They raised their family in Fairview, Montana and later in Chinook, Montana, working hard on the farm. They retired to Rollins, Montana where they enjoyed fishing and traveling, especially to their winter home near Yuma, CA. She moved to Overton, Nevada six years ago.
One of Beulah’s greatest loves was her flower garden. She spent many happy hours tending her flowers and they were always beautiful.
Survivors include two daughters: Claire Falkenhagen of Overton, NV; Phila (Doug) Engman of Logadndale, NV; 16 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 41 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Marge Post and Gloria Gross, two grandsons, one great grandson and two sons in law.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary Chapel. Friends and family are invited to sign the online guest book at www.moapa valleymortuary.com.
