OBITUARY: Anna MaRie Robison

Anna MaRie Robison

Anna MaRie Robison

Anna MaRie Robison, age 70, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013, in St. George, Utah. She was born January 27, 1943, in Hurricane, Utah, to Timothy and Lela Hinton Hoyt. On October 8, 1966, she married Asahel Ira “Ace” Robison in the St. George LDS Temple.

Anna MaRie had a happy childhood in Hurricane and graduated from Dixie College and Utah State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. She was teaching school in Las Vegas when she met her sweetheart, Ace. Their marriage brought five children and the adventure of living in Sacramento, Las Vegas, and Virginia before settling in Logandale, Nevada in 1988. They completed a church service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in North Carolina, and have lived in St. George since 2011.

As a loving wife and mother, Anna MaRie remained adventurous and youthful throughout her life. She had a bright, outgoing personality and smile. While she was thoughtful and gracious to all, she was also a fun person. She served in many church callings. But because of her love for music and children, her favorite was as Primary Chorister.

Survivors include her husband, Asahel; three sons and two daughters: Vernon (Kristy) of Logandale, NV; Timothy (Katie) of McLean, VA; Nathan (Laura) of Kernersville, NC; Nichole of Arlington, VA; Heather (Peter) of Seattle, WA; 12 grandchildren and one sister, Alice Holt of Reno, NV. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the St. George 1st Ward Stake Center, 591 W. 500 N., St. George. Visitation will be Monday, December 9, 2013 from 6 -8 p.m. at the Logandale LDS Stake Center in Logandale and again from 9:30 – 10:30 prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Hurricane City Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.metcalfmortuary.com or www.moapavalleymortuary.com
