This letter is in response to Keith Grime’s letter regarding how the County codes should apply to all (County Codes Should Apply To All, Progress: March 26, 2014). I agree with your statement that the County land use zoning and development code Title 30 is to protect public health, safety and welfare; and they mostly do.
But I do not agree with your judgment and assessment on this issue.
Let me tell you what I know, since I was at the meeting. It was the Town Advisory Board that made the decision to approve the exemptions; even though the County staff recommended denial.
There is more I could write on this but I will stop now. Hope to see you at a Town Advisory Board meeting so you can get your facts right next time.
