The Moapa Valley Revitalization Project (MVRP) will be facilitating the second quarterly Community Coalition Meeting on Wednesday, April 23, beginning at 6:30 pm in the North Shore Inn Conference Room. All are invited.
This is an hour-long meeting of like-minded groups, organizations and people in the community with similar goals for improving business, tourism and the overall esthetics of the Moapa Valley.
“The coalition is an opportunity to communicate with members of other organizations to avoid duplication of efforts, and to share in projects requiring more support than an individual group can offer,” said MVRP member Mary Kaye Washburn. “Rather than add to our full plates, the intent is to share information, and provide assistance and support to one another. “
There will be an open discussion period at the end of each meeting, where attendees can network and find support for projects where needed.
This quarter’s speaker is Meg McDaniel. Senior Manager for Regional Sales, at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). McDaniel’s office is responsible for researching tourism in outlying areas. She works with the local communities on special events like the Motor Mania car show and the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Mesquite. She is looking forward to discussing opportunities to help drive tourism to our community.
