On a recent trip to the Gold Butte area with some of my family I was shocked and surprised when we came upon a warning sign informing us if we passed this point we could be fined up to $100,000. We also found several roads with gates chained and locked prohibiting us to proceed further.
I understand that a lot of political things are going on in the state of Nevada, particularly the Gold Butte area, but I think it is time the people of Nevada demand that our elected officials do whatever is necessary to protect our rights as Nevada and American citizens.
I and my family do not want to be locked out of our own beautiful outdoor lands. Please leave it alone, it is already wilderness in its natural state.
