To the Director of the Valley of Fire State Park:
On Friday, I-15 traffic was all but at a standstill and we made a decision to go through Valley of Fire to get home to Logandale. We waited over 30 minutes to pay at the fee station; which made our evening even more miserable.
I think you ought to implement a policy that allows through traffic to not only have their fees waived but efforts should be made to quickly deal with the large amount of cars that will occur due to the ongoing construction, which doesn’t look like will end soon.
As we waited and waited to pay we heard crying and screaming kids in a car behind us. That wouldn’t have happened if you had a humane policy in place.
Having all those cars pay may have helped your bottom line but sure gives you a black eye in the view of the community and tourists.
