Anticipation filled the air as Moapa Valley High School seniors filled the school’s auditorium for Senior Scholarship and Awards Night on the evening of Wednesday, May 21. The evening began with newly elected 2014-2015 Student Body President Ethan Seeley leading the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.

MVHS Principal Rod Adams then introduced the nine Foreign Exchange students who have attended the school over the past year. Logandale resident Lynda Taylor, who is the Regional Coordinator for the Foreign Exchange Program, presented the high school with the Global Education Excellence Award.

Each year around 10 Foreign Exchange students attend MVHS and live with local families. This year’s exchange students were from all over the globe including Germany, Norway, and Thailand.
