Moapa Valley Progress
The Moapa Valley Performing Arts Council will begin its season on Monday, September 22 with the annual Moapa Valley Talent Showcase. It will be held in the Ron Dalley Theatre at Moapa Valley High School beginning at 7:00 p.m.
This tradition of showcasing local talent has been around for nearly twenty years.
Attendees will be delighted to hear the Moapa Valley High School Jazz Band under the direction of Kim Delgadillo. St. John’s Ballet Folklorico will showcase lively traditional Mexican dances. A piano solo will be performed by Logandale resident Vernon Robison. Talented local youth, Morgan Aikele, along with her instructor Brandon Lee, will be playing a two-piano duo.
Vocalists Branson Anderson, Kim Rorden, and some fabulous youth singers including Desert Song Studio are musical numbers that are not to be missed.
Also performing will be flutist, Keshia Phillipenas and a few of the Valley’s finest string musicians. Last, but not least, the renowned Goldenettes will perform a dance routine in the program.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens and students, and $30 for a family pass. All proceeds from the program will go to the Arts Council fund towards future performances.
Everyone is invited to come enjoy this fun evening of Moapa Valley talent!
All events are sponsored in part by MVPAC and Individual Partners for the Arts which include Moapa Valley Telephone Company, America First Credit Union, Clark County Board of County Commissioners, Dr. Lance K. Robertson, Grant and Laurel Bushman.
