The Moapa Valley Chamber of Commerce will be holding its 15th annual Overton Car Show this weekend on October 17-18. The car show is planned as a two-day event this year, promising more fun than ever before.
Car collectors are encouraged to bring their cars down and display them on the lawn at the Overton Park. The show will include 20 different classes as well as many special awards.
The fun will start at 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon with an Auto Swap Meet. People can cruise on in to the Overton Park and sell or buy their automotive wares.
Later in the afternoon, at around 5:00, participants will take a sunset cruise to the Vista View area of Valley of Fire State Park to watch the sun go down. After that they’ll have a little Friday-evening fun with a Poker Run which will take them through many of the Moapa Valley community’s finest business establishments.
The fun starts early the next morning. Car Show registrants will receive a free breakfast in the park at 7:00 a.m.
By 9:00 a.m. the Car Show will be in full swing. There will be Burn Out Contests, vendor booths, food and bevereage concessions, kids games and activities, a great raffle and cash prizes.
New this year will be the Cutest Pet Conterst and a Beard Contest.
For exhibitors, entry fee is $30 before the event and $35 on the day of the show.
For spectators admission is free. So come to the event, have a great time and support the Moapa Valley Chamber of Commerce.
