On November 21, the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum will host a workshop taught by local historian Geraldine Zarate on how to record personal stories.
Zarate will share ideas on how to get started writing histories and tips and tricks on how to see the project through to completion. In addition to recording basic genealogical information, personal and family stories make great Christmas presents. The writing workshop will start at 2 p.m. in the Art Classroom next to the Museum.
Geraldine White Zarate is a lifetime Mesquite resident and a local history buff. Ms. Zarate used her unique knowledge of the area and excellent writing skills to pen the recently published “Mesquite and The Virgin Valley.” She is also an accomplished artist with pieces on display at the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery. The Museum is grateful for her time and effort.
The Museum is located at 35 W. Mesquite Blvd. The Museum is open Tu-Sa 10 am to 4 pm.
