Mary Louise Adams Doty, age 88, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in St. George, Utah. She was born May 7, 1926 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Leland and Phoebe Belle Linge Adams. On September 9, 1947 she married Raymond Leroy Doty in Logandale, Nevada. On May 30, 1948 they were sealed in the St. George Temple. Raymond preceded her in death on March 1, 1996.

Louise spent her first seven years in Bunkerville, but lived most of her life in Logandale, Nevada. She worked as a hairdresser and other jobs, but was best known as the librarian aide at Moapa Valley High School. She will be remembered as one of the greatest Pirates ever, with a love for school sports and all activities. She found opportunity to show love, kindness, and support for all the students who attended school. Her enthusiasm was contagious. You always felt better after visiting with Louise.

She was a wonderful wife and mother. She helped her husband through his education, then nurtured and loved her children through theirs. With Raymond, they served a mission to the Mormon Battalion in San Diego, California. She lived her last sixteen years in St. George, Utah, where she served for many years as a Church-Service Missionary in the Member-Locator mission.

Survivors include one daughter and two sons: Ruth (Thomas) Ellis of Orem, UT; David (Lynda) of San Antonio, TX; Bruce (Karen) of St. George, UT; daughter-in-law, Julie Doty of Logandale, NV; 20 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: Kay (Charlotte) Adams of Hurricane, UT; Eleanor (Reilly) Jensen of Provo, UT; Larry (Martine) Adams of Las Vegas, NV.

In addition to her husband, Louise was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann, and her son, Guy, as well as by her sister, Eleanor, and her parents, Lee and Phoebe Adams.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Logandale LDS Stake Center. Interment followed in the Logandale Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to sign an online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com.
