Grant Bowler Elementary School will be holding “Bowler Day at Lin’s” on Friday, January 30 to remind residents of the community how they can use their shopping rewards account at Lin’s Marketplace in Overton to benefit the school.
Principal Shawna Jessen said that “Bowler Day at Lin’s” is a campaign brought forth in a joint effort between the school and the Bowler Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) to inform shoppers that attaching their Lin’s number to the school can get the school a reward check. A percentage of all money a shopper spends at Lin’s can be set aside to benefit students, Jessen explained.
One of the schools’ current goals is to have Ipads available in every classroom for students.
Staff from Grant Bowler will be at Lin’s on Friday to remind shoppers of this option. However, it is not necessary to wait for this date to help contribute to the school. This is an ongoing opportunity for shoppers. Those who want to help the school simply need to go to Lin’s and ask to have their account linked to the school.
Jessen said they always welcome help from the community, whether it is through volunteers, community presentations, or donations.
“We are so grateful for such a supportive community,” said Jessen. “We always seem to have what we need to keep kids excited and achieving.”
