No One Asked Me But… (June 24, 2015)

By DR. LARRY MOSES

No one asked me but… An insane man joined a Bible study at a church in Charleston, North Carolina. He listened for an hour and then exclaimed he had come to kill black people.
Both President Obama and Mrs. Clinton, a presidential hopeful, have both declared they are amazed that this event could happen. The President has been preaching racial and class divide for nearly eight years. Mrs. Clinton has been riding racial and class divide in hopes that it will carry her to the White House in 2016.

The American people are a very pliable group. We were talked into a recession in 2007, for the benefit of the Democratic Party. If you read the paper and listen to the news today, you will find the very same people trying to talk the American people into a recovery prior the 2016 election. The interesting thing is that nothing changed from 2006 to 2007 and nothing has really changed today.

People in power need to understand their responsibility in dealing with the American public. The actions of the leaders of America may well lead us into a class and race war.

Perception is the reality. If you are driving down the highway and a tumbleweed blows in front of your car, and you perceive it to be a boulder and run off a cliff, it does not matter that it was tumbleweed. What matters is that you perceived it to be a boulder.

It really does not matter that race relations have come to a point where a white leader of the NAACP actual felt it was to her advantage to pass as black; what matters is that she finds it to her advantage to manufacture racial attacks against herself.

The fact is that race relations have improved to the point that a black man can be elected and serve as President of the United States. The top officials of many major cities in America today are black; as they should be, since they represent the majority in those cities.

The issue that is ignored is that racism is a two way street. Some of the worst racists in America today are black extremist. When the President gives creditability to a racist like Al Sharpton, he stimulates the white racists. It is time to realize that the major problem facing the black communities of the inner city are not racist cops. Rather it is drug gangs dominated by black thugs who are killing black Americans at a horrific rate.

No one asked me but… A United States Marine was convicted of murder in the 2006 death of a former Iraqi police officer. The Marine Sgt. Lawrence Hutchins III alleged that the Iraqi had been planting IED’s and was armed with an AK47.

Members of his squad, after receiving plea bargains saving them from prosecution and the threat of prison, testified against him. So much for Semper Fi.

The United States Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus called it “cold-blooded murder.” Mabus who served as an officer on a naval vessel and never saw combat decided that Sgt Hutchins, under the rules of engagement, had no call to kill the Iraqi.

If one wonders about the bogusness of this whole affair, one needs only to look at the sentence Sgt. Hutchins received. Since when does a “cold-blooded murder” conviction result in a time served sentence?

Sgt. Hutchins had been held, awaiting trial, for over seven years. That alone should make one wonder about the validity of the case. If indeed this was an act of “cold-blooded murder,” how is seven years an appropriate sentence?

Sgt. Hutchins was given a bad conduct discharge and sent on his way. Is “cold-blooded murder” merely bad conduct?
This whole thing smacks from top to bottom of CYA for the Navy Department and appeasement to the Iraqi government.

No one asked me but… The local weathermen are an interesting lot. They have been proclaiming dangerous hot weather as though this is something unusual for Southern Nevada.
Every time I hear these purveyors of weather, I want to shout “You live in a desert you idiot! It is supposed to be hot in June, July, and August.”

This is not a man bites dog story; it is a case of dog biting a man and that is not a story.
Let’s make this clear here and now; it is hot in Southern Nevada. It is supposed to be hot in southern Nevada. Now if it were to dip to the low thirties, that would be news. The fact that it is 110 degrees and up is not news.

For you climate change advocates, if you look at the record setting heats you will see that they are not today. Rather they are ten, twenty, even thirty, or more years ago.

I moved to the desert about fifty years ago. It was hot then and it is hot now. If that is too much for you, stay in the house and turn down the A/C. However, you will find me on a walk to the post office around eleven o’clock and on a nearly four mile walk at three in the afternoon. I take water with me on my second walk.

Both of these walks get me home before the top heat of the day. Unless you see me laying on the ground, just give me a honk and wave as you drive by.

I do appreciate those who stop and offer me a ride; and that Dee at the post office offers me a bottle of water. I take water on my longer walk but the post office is only a mile there and a mile back. No water needed.

If I die of the heat stroke, as most of you predict, you can clip this article and throw it in my coffin, shake your head, and shout “I told you so, you idiot!”

Thought of the week…We can only hope that in hot weather people will dress for the body they have rather than the body they want.

You don’t need to have seen combat to know something is murder. Hutchins’ case didn’t involve a firefight. They kidnapped and shot a guy. Whether you agree that conduct is appropriate in a war environment is a different matter. Also, he didn’t wait seven years for a trial. This was a retrial. With respect to the sentence, in the military if your are tried by a jury, they jury will sentence you not the judge. There is no minimum sentence, only a maximum. The Marines on the panel were likely sympathetic to his actions as they are combat veterans. This likely accounts for the low sentence.
Get your shit together before you open your stupid mouth.
