The Parks and Rec “Itty Bitty” program entertains small children on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in a well organized and friendly atmosphere located at the Fine Arts Building.
The kids get to play various games and make new friends in the process.

Rebecca Muhlestein has a daughter participating in what she calls “baby rec.” She also has an older daughter participating as a volunteer in the Leaders of the Future program.
“She loves working with the little ones,” she said of her older daughter, Rebecca.

For two hours each session the children enjoy activities and games such as playing with a parachute, hula hoops, balls, a bounce house, stringing cereal necklaces and enjoying outside time. They also enjoy interaction with youth leaders and supervisors who energetically participate and ensure that all are having a good time.
“They come home happy and tired,” Muhlestein said.

The young children also enjoy root beer floats at the end of their play session.
