No One Asked Me But… (October 28, 2015)

By DR. LARRY MOSES

No one asked me but… Joe Biden announced he would not run for the presidency. Say it ain’t so, Joe. Vice President Joe Biden just handed Hillary Clinton the Democratic nomination. Does anyone really believe that the Vice President would have challenged the coronation of Queen Hillary? Not likely. The Democratic Party is bound and determined that their candidate will be Hillary.
Joe made the announcement with a rather grim looking President standing next to him. Joe stated he may not be running but he won’t remain silent and that may be the worst news the Democrats have heard. Not that he is not running, but that he will not remain silent.

It is great news for the press and Republicans. Not that Joe is not running, but that he will not remain silent.
Joe Biden is a gaff just waiting to happen. In his speech, announcing he would not run, he took what may have been an inadvertent shot at Hillary. He stated that the Republicans are the “opposition, not the enemy.”

You may recall during the Democrat debate when Hillary was asked what is the greatest enemy of the United States today and she identified the Republicans. This would indicate that there would be a change of emphasis in the government’s effort to protect the American people. Climate change would take second place to the eradicating of the Republican Party. The way the Republican Party has been performing their role as the dominant party in the House and Senate, it will be hard to tell if she is successful.

Actually, Bernie Sanders gave the nomination to Hillary during the first Democratic debate when he joined hands with her and declared the American people are “tired of hearing about your damned e-mails.” His words, not mine.

I just watched Hillary’s testimony before the Bengahzi committee and I am tired of hearing about Benghazi. We are all aware of the fact that Hillary failed to protect our ambassador and four Americans died. She is right; “what difference does it make?” They are dead and she has a great deal of responsibility for it. She was involved in the attempt to convince the American people that Bengahzi was the result of a video and therefore the American government was justified in imprisoning the video maker who violated terms of his parole by creating the video.

Bill Clinton’s presidency has been depicted as the Billary Presidency. Since Hillary’s election would result in the return of Billary to the White House, I would like to hear about some other issues.
Let’s talk about Clinton’s use of the IRS as a punitive agency against those they identified as their political enemies. IRS audits were conducted against individuals and groups who caused problems for the administration. Several prominent conservative groups found themselves facing IRS audits following their criticism of President Clinton and his policies. The Obama administration liked this form of intimidation so well, they too decided to use it.

Let’s talk about the Clinton Foundation. I would like to see a little more information as to where the funds for the foundation come from and how they are expended.

Let’s talk about Travelgate issue. It was alleged that Hillary, whose position at that time was First Lady, was instrumental in the firing of seven employees of the United States travel office and replacing them with Clinton associates. When she received pushback from the head of the travel office, there was an FBI investigation ordered that found no wrongdoing. But his career was ruined, and he was audited by the IRS for three years in a row.

Let us talk about Whitewater. Hillary was a partner in a land development company that saw five people go to jail for fraud. These included the two leading partners, Arkansas Governor Jim Tucker, and municipal judges Dale Hale and Eugene Fitzhugh who worked with the Whitewater land development company.

Let’s talk about Filegate. Under the direction of Hillary, the director of White House’s Office of Personnel Security “improperly accessed FBI files on several hundred individuals.”

Let’s talk about the cattle-futures miracle, which was Hillary’s first venture into the commodities market. She invested a total of $1,000 dollars. This investment was turned into $100,000 after 10 months. Eat your heart out, Martha Stewart.

Let’s talk about Bill and Hillary shipping White House furniture to their personal home in Chappaqua, N.Y. The Clintons returned some of the furniture after pressure was put on them to do so.
If any of these scandals had hit most people, either Democrat or Republican, their careers would be in danger. Any one of these would have surely negated a presidential run. The Clintons must have invented Teflon, though. Nothing seems to stick to them.

No one asked me but… Now that I have offended all my liberal friends, let me offend the Republicans.

Does anyone in the Republican Party have any idea how to run a country? Where are all those Republican bills that the big bad Democratic Senate leader Harry Reid kept from the Senate floor? The Republicans have told the people that the Democrats had stopped them from introducing marvelous programs solving all the problems of America today. Three years later, we are still waiting for them.
The most ridiculous Republican effort is the present attempt at finding a leader for the House of Representatives. If they cannot get together on leadership for the House of Representatives, how are they going to get together on leadership for the country?

Republicans continue to tell us that government cannot solve the problems of America. When they get in power, we see, they can’t even solve the problems of the Republican Party. The Democrat Party has only one serious candidate for the Presidency; the Republicans have a multitude of possibilities but it is hard to find even one serious candidate among those running.

The strongest candidate presently is a businessman and TV personality, Donald Trump. While Trump is entertaining – if this is the best, the Republicans have to offer, they are in trouble.
Can you really envision a Trump/Clinton campaign? Replace Trump with any of the other Republican possibilities and see if you really believe any of those can win either.

Thought of the week… The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn’t work and then they get elected and prove it.
