Robert Smith
Robert Charles Smith, age 90, passed away January 27, 2016. He was born July 17, 1925 to Francis and Edna Smith in Pennyslvania. The family later moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. They lived right on the Atlantic Ocean in Florida where Robert loved to spearfish. He served in the Navy Air Corp flying military gunship aircraft over the Pacific and in the Philippines.
After WWII, Robert settled in Southern California and stayed there the rest of his life. He worked in the automotive industry as a service manager for Oldsmobile and Cadillac.
Robert is survived by his daughter Valerie Leavitt (William) of Logandale, NV; grandchildren Claire, Christopher, Holly, and Malinda, and lots of adoring great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Georgia Jean Crosby and his son Gene Pflueger.
Robert passed away In Southern California on his wife’s birthday. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
