(NV Dept. of Highway Safety) Two people were killed in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, April 25 on Northshore Road near Echo Bay.
Preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 5:12 pm on Tuesday, a red Harley Davidson motorcycle occupied by a male driver and female passenger was traveling northbound on Northshore Road south of mile marker 32. For unknown reasons the driver failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway to the right. The driver of the motorcycle then over corrected, causing the motorcycle to rotate counter clockwise. The motorcycle then traveled down a culvert ejecting the driver and passenger.
The 59 year old male driving and the 51 year old female passenger; both from West Palm Beach, Florida; were pronounced deceased on scene.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identifications once next of kin have been notified.
This marks the Nevada Highway Patrol-Southern Command’s 25th fatal crash resulting in 28 fatalities for 2016.
