3A Baseball/ Sunrise
Boulder City
The Eagles had a very rough week. The 2016 state champions lost three games last week to start league play with a 1-2 record with the two loses last week. They first lost to Moapa Valley 2-1, then were beaten by Chaparral 6-4 at home.
In that, game the Cowboys held the Eagles hitless until the fourth inning. Conner Jarvis had a hit and two RBI’s for the Cowboys. Thomas Pablo finished with two runs scored and a hit.
Erick Villareal pitched the whole game for the Cowboys striking out seven and walking just two batters. DJ Reese and Teddy Lobkowicz finished for the Eagles with an RBI each.
On Friday the Eagles lost to Sierra Vista 5-0. They committed four errors in the game and were held to just five hits in the shutout loss.
Sierra Vista would score two runs in the second and fourth innings with a single run scored in the sixth. Chalton Temple had two RBI’s for Sierra Vista.
Boulder City will play in the Grizzly invitational at Spring Valley this week.

Chaparral
The Cowboys are 2-1 in league play with a win against Del Sol last week 8-7. The Cowboys allowed three runs in the first and four more in the second and trailed 7-1 after two innings.
Chaparral would score twice in the bottom of the third, one in the fourth, three in the fifth and 1 in the sixth while holding the Dragons scoreless through the final five innings. Villareal drove home 3 RBI’s for the Cowboys a couple of doubles.

Del Sol
The Dragons are 2-1 in league play with a win and a loss last week. They beat SECTA last week 11-8 when the Dragons scored seven runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 11-3 lead into the sixth. SECTA scored one run in the sixth and four runs in the seventh.
Tyler Foreman hit a triple and a double with three RBI’s and Phil Talamo drove home three RBI’s for Del Sol. Gabe Kermode had two hits and three RBI’s for SECTA.

Virgin Valley
The Bulldogs beat SECTA to start last week, 6-2. Both teams scored two runs in the second inning with the Dawgs scoring a run in the fourth, two runs in the fifth and one more in the seventh for the final.
On Friday the Bulldogs lost to Pahranagat Valley in Alamo 11-1. The Panthers scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth to end the game with the 10-run rule.
Virgin Valley had just two hits in the game.

3A Baseball/ Sunset
Cheyenne
The Desert Shields remain winless this season at 0-9 overall and 0-3 in league play. They were beaten by Sunrise Mountain 14-4, Pahrump Valley 14-3 and Desert Pines 14-0.

Desert Pines
The Jaguars are 4-10 overall and 1-2 in league play. Last week they lost to Sierra Vista 8-0 then Mojave 13-3.

Mojave
The Rattlers are 5-8-1 overall and 3-0 in league play. Last week they beat Sunrise Mountain 5-0, Western 3-2 and Desert Pines.

Sunrise Mountain
The Miners are 2-9 overall and 2-1 in league play. Last week the Miners beat Western 4-0 then Cheyenne 14-4 and Mojave 5-0.

Western
The Warriors are 1-13 overall and 0-3 in league play.

3A Softball/ Sunrise
Boulder City
The Eagles have flexed their muscles and had taken a 3-0 lead in league play. Besides a 16-0 win over Moapa Valley, the Eagles beat Chaparral 9-0 then lost an out of league game to Sierra Vista 1-0.

Chaparral
The Cowboys are 6-5 overall and 1-2 in league play. Last week they beat Del Sol 6-1.

Del Sol
The Dragons are 5-6 overall and 2-1 in league play. Last week they beat SECTA 11-7.

SECTA
The Roadrunners are 6-3 overall and 1-2 in league play. They beat Virgin Valley 6-3.

Virgin Valley
The Bulldogs are 9-13 overall and 0-3 in league play. Last week, besides their two league losses, they were beaten by Pahranagat Valley 19-13 on Friday.
The Bulldogs led 7-2 in the top of the third inning before the Panthers scored eight runs to take a commanding lead they would not give up.

3A Softball/ Sunset
Cheyenne
The Desert Shields are 5-4 overall and 2-1 in league play. Last week they played three league games, and beat Sunrise Mountain 11-1. They lost to Pahrump Valley 15-0 then finished the week with a win over Desert Pines 17-1.

Desert Pines
The Jaguars are winless at 0-11 overall and 0-3 in league play. Last week they played four games. They lost to Pahrump Valley 19-4, Sierra Vista 17-0, Mojave 20-5 and Desert Pines 17-1.

Mojave
The Rattlers are 7-2 overall and 3-0 in league play. Last week they beat Western 8-5.

Pahrump Valley
The Trojans are 13-2 overall and 3-0 in league play. Last week they beat Western 15-3.

Sunrise Mountain
The Miners are 0-11 overall and 0-3 on league play.

Western
The Warriors are 3-6 overall and 1-2 in league play.
