Criminal court was held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 with Judge Lanny Waite presiding.
Robert Samuel Lawrence – Charges: Lewdness with Child Under Age 14. Defendant appeared in custody and waived right to Preliminary Hearing. The case was bound over to the district Court on October 17, 2017.
William Myers – Charges: Coercion with Physical Force; Abuse of Older Person; Isolating Older Person; Domestic Battery. Defendant appeared in custody. Plead to amended charge of Battery/Domestic Violence. Sentenced to $350 in fines, Community Service, Battery/Domestic Violence counseling, a requirement to have no contact with the victim. Defendant released on own recognizance with suspended sentence and a requirement to stay out of trouble for a period of six months.
Danny Nusbaum – Charges: Battery Domestic. Defendant had been in custody but had posted bail and was released. Matter was continued to 10/25/2017.
Jody Perkins – Charges: Petit Larceny. Originally charged in May 2016. Community service was ordered. Paperwork turned in for completion of community service was alleged to be falsified with forged signatures. Judge pointed out that this was not an isolated case; two or three other Defendants had submitted similarly falsified paperwork and had served jail time.
Defendant had been taken into custody to serve a thirty day sentence imposed for not staying out of trouble in the matter.
The case had been set for Status check. Defendant was given credit for time served and the case was closed.
Robert Miller – Charges: Possession of Firearm by Prohibited Person; Possession of Firearm with Changed or altered Serial Number. Defendant appeared in custody for 48 hour hearing. Probable cause was found in the case. Matter was continued to 11/22/2017.
