A Moapa Valley community Thanksgiving service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 6:30 pm in the Moapa Christian Church on the Moapa Indian Reservation.
All of the community is invited to attend and enjoy the special worship service.
Pastor Scott Adams of the Lake Mead Baptist Church in Overton explained that this traditional service has been held each year for more than a decade. The service is rotated between the four protestant churches in the community, he said.
This year Pastor Wayne Evans of New Hope Christian Church will be delivering the sermon for the services. Special music and testimony will also be provided by the membership and clergy from other community congregations.
“It is a nice way to get together with friends and neighbors and get into the mindset of celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday,” Adams said.
