Moapa Valley Progress
You have to love small towns! Everything you need is at your disposal, if you look. And you don’t even have to fight the huge, pushy crowds and maddening traffic of the city.
The Moapa Valley area is just such an area. All your everyday needs are met by the local merchants – food, house and car supplies, pet requirements, gifts and more. But, sometimes, you are looking for just something a bit different. How about a Direct Sales Consultant?
You are able to contact these local merchants several ways: On Facebook at Moapa Valley Direct Sales Consultants or at a Home Party or, maybe, at a SUPER Home Party.
Four years and seven events ago, Natalie Jacobsmeyer created the idea of having all the Direct Sales Consultants in town come together in one place for the convenience of their customers. The place was the Old Overton Gym and the event took place on Tuesday evening, Nov. 30.
The first year Jacobsmeyer organized the event, there were five consultants in attendance; this year there were 17 available.
There were also finger foods and prize drawings to keep attendees on their toes as they wandered through the booths.
A “Happy Dance” was taking place by one winner Olsen Marble of Logandale – a snowbird from Utah. He is a retired trucker and had just won a bottle of sparkling cider.
Even Santa Claus made an appearance at the party.
One just had to decide on what they were looking for:
• FOOD – how about ‘Advocare’ (protein shakes of pumpkin spice, chocolate mocha and berry) or ‘Tastefully Simple’ with special additions “Kick To It – Fiesta Dip” or SPX Nutrition with Nutri-thin and nutria-cleanse for weight loss and heart health or, to put it all together, ‘Pampered Chef’ with cookie cutters and various quality kitchen tools.
• PERSONAL HYGIENE AND FEEL GOOD – ‘Scentsy’ with 80 different scents to melt in a wickless candle and make your whole world smell good. ‘Doterra’ with a variety of healthy oils. ‘MaryKay’ with cologne and cosmetics. ‘Jamberry’ with their fancy fingernail wraps. ‘’Bathologie’ and ‘Perfectly Posh’ with Bath Bombs and soaps and hand creams.
• CLOTHING – ‘Lularoe’ with comfortable clothes all sizes from kids 2 through adult 3X or ‘Plus Ten Clothing’ and ‘Paparazzi’ – jewelry and clothing (on line, home parties and in store) or ‘Dot Dot Smile’ with girl’s dresses from 6 months to girls size 14 or ‘My Amelia James’ a Pop-Up Boutique of extra small to 3x sizes to include skirts, tops and dresses.
• CRAFTS – ‘Youngevity Co.’ with 200 different brands of jewelry, spices and oils and memory keeping books and calendars or ‘Stampin’ Up!’ with ribbons, ink, punches, art kits and cards.
• EXTRAS – ‘SPX Nutrition’ owners Gene and Crissy Christensen also broker ‘Health Share Service’ an insurance for young families. ‘Damsel in Defense’ which offers pepper spray, striking tools, personal alarms and stun guns. They also have Empower Hours where one can learn how to use these devices and concealed carry purses.
These consultants can all be found online with their own business. They love what they are doing and love working with the community.
