Wireless internet service provider InfoWest, in Overton, is celebrating its newly renovated office space with a “Re-grand Opening” and open house event on Aug. 10 from 12-4 p.m. The event will feature refreshments and a ‘School is Cool’ Backpack Giveaway. All are invited.

The same office previously housed the locally-founded internet provider, Comnett for approximately 20 years before the business was purchased by Janice and Adam Hardy. The Logandale couple maintained the Comnett operations for 17 years prior to merging with InfoWest five or six years ago, according to Janice Hardy.

The office “…still had the paint job from Comnett on the walls,” Hardy said. “We finally decided we’re going to get this done this summer.”

Hardy called the remodel a “general refresh” that included paint, flooring and rearranging of office furniture.
“It turned out so good everyone said we should have a party,” she said.

The community is invited to visit the facility located at 196 S Moapa Valley Blvd in Overton to view the changes and enjoy refreshments.
“Come in, see what we did and have a snack!” Hardy said.

Children accompanied by an adult are also welcome to a backpack filled with school supplies.
“One per child on a first come first serve basis,” Hardy said. “It’s a good starter backpack.”
Hardy said that InfoWest locations in St. George and Cedar City had a collection of backpacks but that they decided to contribute to the valley themselves.

According to their website, InfoWest has over 20 years of experience as experts in delivering quality high-speed internet.
Hardy said that the business is currently offering subscription TV service in Utah and that it will be available to Moapa Valley customers as soon as licensing is done.

InfoWest Broadband services offers all HD channels, cloud DVR and cloud catch-up with no contracts and no hidden fees, according to the website.
