3A Boys-Sunrise
Boulder City
The Eagles are 12-3 so far. They played and destroyed the Pahrump Valley Trojans in Pahrump 57-19. They had a huge 29-point second quarter and held Pahrump Valley to just 6-points for a 41-13 lead at halftime. Derrick Thomas led everyone with 16-points for the Eagles. Kason Bailey added 13 while Mat Morton scored 10-points.

Chaparral
The Cowboys are 6-5 after wins at Pahrump Valley 72-43 and Legacy 84-78 last week. Grant Odegard scored 19-points for the Trojans in the loss. Elijah Briggs and Meshach Hawkins each scored 12-points for the Cowboys.
Chaparral had a 17-10 lead after the first quarter then extended it to 18-points by halftime at 36-18. Chaparral added a 20-point quarter then coasted to a 72-43 win.
Saturday the Cowboys travelled to Durango High School where they play the Legacy Longhorns and came away with an 84-78 overtime win. Chaparral was 12-24 from the 3-point line and 12-19 from the free throw line.

Sunrise Mountain
The Miners are 5-7 overall. The Miners fell victim to the Valley Vikings on Thursday, 46-36. Valley held a 26-18 lead at halftime and held on for the win.
Valley won this game from the free throw line as they converted 14-17 while the Miners were only able to make 5-19. Andre Jones led the Vikings with 19-points while Omar Simpson added 15.

Virgin Valley
The Bulldogs beat the Parangant Valley Panthers 41-40 when Will Barnum made the game winner, hitting a 3-pointer as the final buzzer sounded. Barnum finished with 12-points while Koden Tiejen led the team with 14-points. Stockton Maxwell scored 20-points for the Panthers. It was the first win of the season for Virgin Valley.

3A Boys-Sunset
Democracy Prep
The Blue Knights are 10-4 overall and 2-0 in league play. They beat Western last week 70-36. They held a 49-19 lead at halftime.
Their second game of the week was a win against Somerset-Losee 83-8. The Blue Knights built a 50-5 at halftime.
They would finish their week at home against Bonita Vista California with a 63-52 win. This game was close throughout as the Blue Knights held a lead the whole game. The Knights sit atop the Sunset with a 2-0 league record.

Mojave
The Rattlers are 3-1 in league play right now. Last week the Rattlers were 3-0. They had league wins over Del Sol 60-39, Western 78-54, and northern 3A power Elko 55-43.
The Rattlers pushed the lead against Del Sol to 28-15 by halftime. Chris Jackson led everyone with 17-points for Mojave. Isaiah Harper and Damon McDowell added 11-points each.
Against Western the Rattlers trailed 12-8 at the end of the first quarter but rebounded with a 21-6 second quarter and finished the Warriors off with a 31-point fourth quarter for the win. A.J. Woods lead Mojave with 18-points while McDowell added 11 and DeSaun Smith and Harper contributed with 10-points apiece.
The Elko Indians made their annual trip south but were beaten by the Rattlers. The Indians took a 16-10 lead after the first quarter. But Mojave used a 13-4 run in the third quarter and finished the Indians off with a 20-14 fourth.

Del Sol
The Dragons were 1-1 last week in league play. Their win came against Pahrump Valley 71-48. The Dragons built a lead of 24-9 the end of the first quarter then added a 25-12 third quarter for the win.

3A Girls-Sunrise
Boulder City
The Eagles beat Pahrump Valley in a close game 31-29. Boulder City took a 10-4 lead by the end of the first quarter. Then both teams fell apart only mustering up 2-points apiece in the second quarter. The Trojans almost came back with a 11-6 fourth quarter, just falling short.

Chaparral
The Cowboys lost to Pahrump Valley in a non-league game last week. The Trojans used a 14-8 second quarter then held on for the win. Emani White scored 20-points to lead all scorers. Katheryn Daffer lead the Trojans with 12-points.

Sky Pointe
The Eagles had not played a game in a month and lost to SLAM 33-32. They allowed the Bulls a 16-5 third quarter giving them the win.

Sunrise Mountain
The Miners beat the Valley Vikings 57-25 last week in their only game. The Miners lead 31-17 at half time. The Vikings scored just 8-points in the second half. Layla Jackson scored 15 of Valley‘s 25-points. Markaiia McCurdy scored 27 for the Miners.

Virgin Valley
The Bulldogs beat Pahranagat Valley last Saturday 57-30. Alexis Boatright led the Bulldogs with 13-points.

Sunset
Mojave is 4-0 in league play. They beat Del Sol 56-14 last week shutting the Dragons out in the first quarter 13-0. They scored 25 in the third quarter while holding Del Sol to 6-points. China Scott scored 15, Alecia Kelly and Jasmine Kaufman added 13 apiece for Mojave.
Mojave then beat Western in a thriller 41-40. Mojave built a 11-2 lead by the end of the first quarter. Western chipped away to get close and outscored the Rattlers 14-11 in the fourth to fall just short.

Pahrump Valley
The Trojans are 2-0 in league play. They beat Del Sol 42-13 with runs of 13-3 in the second quarter and 20-6 in the fourth.

Democracy Prep
The Blue Knights beat Western 63-29 then Somerset-Losee 61-42 last week.
