Jacquelyn Holyoak

Jacquelyn Ann (Loveland) Holyoak, age 60, was called back to her heavenly home on April 17, 2019. She was born on July 14, 1958 in Henderson, Nevada to Dean Thomas Loveland and Dora Jean White. Shortly after, her family moved to North Las Vegas and then to Las Vegas in her teen years. She attended Eldorado High School where she was a songleader. She had a beautiful singing voice from an early age.

Upon graduation from high school she attended Southern Utah State College, now Southern Utah University, in Cedar City, Utah. It was there that she met the love of her life, Steven L. Holyoak, and the best part of her life began. They were married for time and all eternity in the St. George Temple on October 27, 1979.

Jacque is a beautiful daughter of our Heavenly Father. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; a caring sister; and a loyal friend. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, and creating beautiful crafts. She worked for 17 years at Moapa Valley Federal Credit Union where she developed many dear friendships and was able to serve many in the community.

She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. Her faith in God was unwavering, and she followed the Savior’s example by selflessly serving others throughout her life. She touched many lives and brought joy and wellbeing to those around her.

She loved her husband, and best friend, dearly. She always liked a great adventure, and during recent years they travelled often and enjoyed many cruises together. They took special pleasure in visiting their children and grandchildren.

Her children will always remember her silent sacrifice on their behalf. She was their rock, their confidant, and their ultimate cheerleader.

Her grandchildren were her treasure. She cherished, and spoiled, each of them, and they will always have fond memories of the projects and crafts they worked on together. She loved attending their various activities, and they loved receiving notes from her in the mail.

She is survived by her husband, Steven L. Holyoak; her children, Colby (Bree) Holyoak, Corey (Jen) Holyoak, Caleb (Linsy) Holyoak and Carlee (Devin) Markestein; 13 grandchildren; sisters, Diane (Digger Whitmore) Leavitt, Barbara (Les) Whitmore; and sister-in-law, Bea Loveland.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dora Jean White Owen; father, Dean Thomas Loveland; and brother, Thomas Dean Loveland.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Overton chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 226 W Thomas St, Overton, Nevada. Viewings will be held Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary, 5090 N Moapa Valley Blvd, Logandale, Nevada and prior to the services, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., at the Overton chapel.

Interment and graveside services will follow at the Parowan City Cemetery beginning at 4:30 p.m. local time.
