The Dixie Center comes alive this Friday and Saturday, September 27-28 as the Family Roots Conference fills the hall with Keynote speakers, Native American Dancers, an authentic Pioneer Experience, classes, workshops and an interactive exhibit hall.
Stan Ellsworth of BYU TV’s “American Ride” will be the Friday afternoon Keynote Speaker. This 6’2”, 300-pound former NFL player and Harley Davidson rider invites his listeners to walk (and ride) with him through the footsteps of American history.
The Saturday morning Keynote Speaker is Hank Smith. Smith will share stories that will make the audience laugh and smile. You won’t want to miss it.

A Saturday evening (7 p.m.) concert will feature BYU’s Vocal Point. The a capella harmonies, out-of-this-world vocal percussions, and crisp choreography combine for one of the most exciting musical experiences you’ll experience.
Representatives from MyHeritage, RootsMagic, Legacy Tree, and Genealogy Wall Charts will be on hand to guide attendees through DNA matches, research, organization, preservations of records, and piecing together your family history.
Plenty of pioneer-style activities will also be offered including candle dipping, panning for gold, rug weaving, and face painting, a Native American PowWow, and much more.
