Southern 3A
Boulder City at Virgin Valley
The Eagles travelled to Virgin Valley where they were beaten 14-7. Virgin Valley avenged last years loss against Boulder City which was a factor in the Dawgs not qualifying for the playoffs.
The Bulldogs started sophomore quarterback Kyler Sudweeks and the team had 175 yards rushing total. Wyatt Delano and Sudweeks combined for 139-yards of that together.
Virgin Valley scored both of their touchdowns in the second quarter. One was by Delano and another by Anderson.
Sudweeks finished with 57-yards passing on 5-16 throwing. He threw two interceptions for the Dawgs.
Boulder City scored its lone touchdown in the third quarter.
Virgin Valley is now 4-1 overall and 1-0 in league play. The Eagles are 3-2 overall and 0-1 in league play.
The Bulldogs will host Rancho this Friday night while Boulder City will host SLAM.

Del Sol at Western
The Dragons shutout the Warriors 42-0.
D’montee Hines scored two touchdowns in the first quarter. The Dragons also returned two punts for touchdowns. The first by Vonta Holloway of 60-yards. The second was run back by Antowain Gentry a 35 yarder. Damani Wilks ran a touchdown of 45 yards. Maalik Flowers caught a touchdown as well.
Del Sol is 3-3 overall and 1-0 in league play. Western is 1-4 overall and 0-1 in league play.
Western will host Valley this Thursday night while Del Sol will have a bye.

Cheyenne vs Valley
The Desert Shield are 5-1 overall and 1-0 in league play after they beat Valley 28-7. Cheyenne was led by runningback Madison who ran the ball 32 times for 230 yards and a touchdown. Black finished with 17 carries for 133 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Armstrong was 3-6 for 28 yards. The Desert Shields totaled 372 yards of total rushing.
Cheyenne will host Pahrump Valley this Friday night.

Sunrise Mountain vs SLAM
The Miners of Sunrise Mountain beat SLAM 53-26 on Friday night. SLAM held a 13-12 lead at halftime then gave up three touchdowns in the third quarter and three more in the fourth quarter.
Sunrise Mountain will host Moapa Valley this Friday night while SLAM will travel to Boulder City.
SLAM is 2-4 overall and 0-1 in league play. The Miners are 2-3 overall and 1-0 in league play.

Northern 3A
South Tahoe at Fallon
The defending state 3A football champion remains undefeated in the northern 3A at 5-0 with a 56-0 win at home over the Vikings of South Tahoe. Fallon scored three touchdowns in the first quarter then added two more in the second for a 35-0 lead at halftime. Fallon is the only unbeaten team in league play in the north.

North Valleys at Lowry
Lowry continues to win and has increased their record to 4-1 in the Northern 3A. Last Friday night they beat the North Valleys Panthers 48-27. The Buckaroos will travel to South Tahoe this Friday.

Elko at Fernley
The Elko Indians were shutout by the Fernley Vaqueros 30-0 last Friday night. Fernley jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and led 17-0 at halftime. Fernley ran almost twice as many plays as Elko as they dominated the game. Elko drops to 4-1 in the 3A northern league while Fernley is also 4-1. Elko will host Truckee who had a bye week this past week. Fernley will travel to Sparks.

Sparks at Spring Creek
The Sparks RailRoaders travelled to Spring Creek and were beaten 46-21. The Spartans of Spring Creek scored two touchdowns in each of the first three quarters. Reed Westwood of Spring Creek ran the ball 21 times for 346 yards total and scored five touchdowns in the game. They ran for 434 total yards.
Spring Creek is 2-2 in league play and 2-3 overall. They will travel to North Valleys this week. Sparks will host Fernley. Sparks is 1-5 overall and 0-4 in league play.
