If you have stopped by Logandale Auto for an oil change or auto repair recently, you may have seen a new face. Owner and operator Mike Hemingway recently hired Kevin Manis to fill the service manager position at the auto shop.

The business is excited to have him abord and the experience and talent he brings. “It’s what we’ve been working towards: to get our kids back out here and to grow our family business,” Hemingway said. “Best of all, it frees me up to work on cars again and that is what I love.”

Manis has ties with the Hemingway family through their daughter, Alec. He is her boyfriend of more than five years.
Manis brings many years of mechanic and managerial experience to Logandale Auto. In fact, for the last 22 years he says he has “done it all” in the automotive industry. Manis has been everything from a tire and lube guy to a warehouse manager. He said he is proud of the fact that for the past eight years he has been the manager of the most successful Goodyear in Las Vegas.
“I have spent my life learning everything I can about diagnosing and servicing everything from cars to quads,” Manis said. “I have numerous certifications under my belt and am always striving to continue my education by learning the best and newest things out there.”

Manis doesn’t just enjoy being around cars at work, cars are also one of his main hobbies when he gets home. He enjoys being a member of an international car club in Las Vegas called Freaks of Nature. He serves as the club’s Vice President.

Manis moved his family to Moapa Valley to take the position at Logandale Auto. His daughter, Charitti, is a junior this year at Moapa Valley High School. His son, who loves getting dirty and hanging out with him at the garage, just started in kindergarten. He is also proud of the fact that his oldest daughter Kaitlyn, who has graduated from high school, also has cars in her blood and is currently working for an auto dealer in Las Vegas.

Manis says he hopes to be able to bring more knowledge and customer satisfaction to Moapa Valley. He said he is excited to meet people out here and has been very impressed so far with how friendly everyone is.
“I’m so ecstatic to be here,” Manis said. “This is a really great community and everyone is so nice. So far being here has really been a positive experience.”
“I just want to tell everyone to come by Logandale Auto, introduce yourselves, and let me continue to show you that Logandale Auto is your go-to place for all of your service needs,” Manis said.
