Ace Hardware in Mesquite now offers a line of farm equipment from Takeuchi and is looking forward to servicing this product line in the area.
Established in 1987, Western Tri State Equipment (Ace Hardware) offers construction rentals, garden and patio, electrical, building supplies and hardware. Over the last few years, the dealer has had rising requests for compact equipment to purchase and rent. The addition of Takeuchi equipment is meant to fill that void.
Western Tri State Equipment CEO Todd Leavitt said that the new equipment line will give the business the opportunity to sell equipment along with offering rentals.
“With Takeuchi in our lineup, we feel we can help build our other products such as trailer sales,” Leavitt said. “Having this new product offering should really help expand our business.”
According to Ace Hardware employee Jessica Meierhoff, the new addition will benefit more than the business.
“We just think it’s going to be a great thing for the area,” she said, adding that the store services Nevada, Utah and Arizona.
Meierhoff said that the Mesquite location offers Takeuchi as well as Mahindra which she specified as farm tractors.
“We’re also going to have side-by-sides (OHVs),” Meierhoff said. “Mahindra makes some side-by-sides that have some cool benefits.”
Along with the actual equipment, Meierhoff said that Ace Hardware offers equipment attachments along with a service department.
“So they’ll be able to have the equipment serviced right here,” she said. “I think all of that together is going to be really good for everyone.”
New products include excavators, skid steer loaders, track loaders and wheel loaders.
“Western Tri State Equipment has had a strong presence in the area for over three decades,” said Kim Robinson, director of dealer development at Takeuchi. “There have already been several requests by small contractors for compact equipment and we have no doubt our machines will do great at this store.”
