Richard Charles Tuttle

Richard Charles Tuttle passed away on January 11, 2021 in St. George Utah. He was born July 29, 1952 in Steubenville Ohio. He was raised in Braddock and Rankin, PA. In May 1970 he married the love of his life Margaret (Peggy) Scott.

Rick joined the U.S. Air Force in 1971 and spent the next 22 years serving his country. He was stationed in Texas, Florida, and Alaska. He served in Desert Storm. After retiring from the Air Force he spent 22 years managing Tudor Road Bingo in Anchorage, AK.

When he retired in 2014 he and Peggy traveled the country for 6 months visiting family and friends before deciding to put down roots in Mesquite, Nevada.

Rick joined many organizations in Mesquite including the Mesquite Rotary, VFW, American Legion, and the Elks Club. He truly believed the Rotary motto of service above self. He also loved volunteering at the Virgin River food bank 2 days a week.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret (Peggy); daughters: Kathy (Blaine) Roehl, and Danielle (Dani) (Martin) McGrew, as well as daughter-in-law Emily (Tim) Shell; grandchildren: Mara Roehl, Charlotte (Charli) Fields, Sterling McGrew, Jeana Tuttle, Lillian Tuttle, and Liam Shell; brothers: Ronald (Bonnie) Tuttle, Donald Tuttle; sister, Annabell Ratner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Harry and Lillian Tuttle; brother James Tuttle; sister Beverly Talerico; and his son Richard Tuttle II.

  1. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Peggy and all who knew Rick. I will always be grateful for his kindness to my husband during his battle with ALS. Now together in heaven the high school friends can be together. Until we meet again RIP.

  2. I am sorry to hear of Rick’s passing. May he Rest In Peace and all who loved him know that they will be reunited with him in Heaven when God calls them home. ❤️🙏

  3. Rick, thank you for being you. You helped many people with your caring ways, kindness and thoughtfulness. I believe in that you sparked kindness into the people surrounding you. We speak of you often. Your life made a difference for the people who knew you. Peggy and family, I feel for your loss.
