Cleta Jean Gifford

Cleta Jean Gifford, 48, passed away on September 12, 2021 in Las Vegas, NV. She was born on October 5, 1972 in St. George, UT to Tommy and Linda Monk. She was raised in Logandale, NV and attended MVHS. She later attended CSN and worked hard to earn an Associate’s degree.

Cleta loved music! She often would say that music healed her soul. She loved dancing and being free. Her compassion was second to none. Whether Cleta knew them or not she would give anything and everything to help others. Her heart was bigger than her self. Her family was her world, especially her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Cleta is survived by her children: Ryan (Kaylee), Shaylynn (Jordan), Heather, and Amber; grandchildren: Kamerie, Abel, Oakley, Caston, Carter, Cayde, Harvey, Joseph, and another baby on the way; her mother, Linda Monk; siblings: Janie, Laura, and Tommy; and a large extended family. She is preceded in death by her father, Tommy Monk.

A rosary will be held on Friday October 1, 2021 at 9:30-10:00 a.m. with Mass Services at 10:00 a.m. at the St. John’s Catholic Church, 2955 N St Joseph Street, Logandale, NV, with interment following at the Logandale Cemetery.

The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com.

In this hard time, don’t mourn. Cleta wouldn’t have wanted that. Instead, blast your music, enjoy your family, and let your hair down to celebrate the beautiful life that was Cleta Gifford.

  1. You will forever be in my heart n prayers.
My greatest memories since elementary are with you n Carolyn, you taught me to be a good person and you never let that quality go,.
You definitely was a one of a kind spirit, you could make anyone smile and forget their problems, when the rainbows came out in doubles I’m positive it was you making sure there was enough for whoever you was sending the pot of joy to.
Spread your wings cleta your work is not done, angels never get to rest, you should know that. But you can walk with the lord, and now you have control over all the rainbows.
