Cody Frederick Law
Cody Frederick Law, age 41, died suddenly of natural causes, Wednesday, July 13, 2022 while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He was born May 17, 1981 in Boise, Idaho to Douglas Lydell and Carolyn Frances Scherf Law. On October 26, 2002 he married Heather Renee Henderson in the Las Vegas LDS Temple.
Cody grew up in Caldwell, Idaho where he graduated from high school. He served an LDS mission in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala before earning his Bachelor’s Degree from UNLV. He served in many assignments in the church throughout his life. He had a generous heart and was always looking for opportunities to help others spiritually, emotionally, professionally, and financially.
He raised his family in Mesquite, Nevada where he worked in marketing for the local golf courses. He enjoyed construction and building new projects. He excelled providing business success and growth for many golf clients and enthusiasts. Cody’s impact in the golf industry will be missed by all who knew him.
Cody was easy to be around. He was friendly and loved everyone he met. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was faithful in serving his Heavenly Father. He enjoyed playing, composing and arranging music for the piano. He was a loving father and husband and will be greatly missed. He loved his wife and their daughters. He was always fun-loving and seemed to be at his happiest when he was with his ‘girls’.
Survivors include his wife, Heather of Mesquite; four daughters: Allie attending BYU-Idaho; Avery, Olivia and Addison all at home in Mesquite; mother, Carolyn Law of Hurricane, UT; grandmother, Ardeth Fullmer of Portland, OR; three brothers and one sister: Jamison (Michelle) of Eagle Mountain, UT; Jeremy (Liesl) of Las Vegas, NV; Adam (Natalie) of Leeds, UT and Lindsey (Matt) Mellor of Colfax, WA.
Funeral services will held Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mesquite Stake Center, 100 N. Arrowhead Lane, Mesquite, NV. Visitation will be from 9 – 9:30 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Mesquite Cemetery on Hardy Way
