Mack Lyon Middle School Advanced Band, under the direction of Daryl Richardson, attended CCSD Middle School Advanced Festival last month, March 5.

The event was held at UNLV’s Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall, and the band received a superior rating for their performance of “Pegasus Overture” by Mike Collins-Dowden; “A Canadian Ballad,” arranged by Robert Sheldon; and “Project (March)” by Harold Bennett, arranged by Larry Clark.
Richardson said, “I am extremely proud of my students!”

The band consisted of 43 students who worked very hard since the beginning of the school year to be ready for this festival.
