The Mesquite Community Theater (MCT) will present Robert Harlin’s comedy-drama “Steel Magnolias,” opening Friday, May 2.
The play is set in a beauty salon where women gather to share their joys, sorrows and personal struggles, which are sometimes funny and sometimes sad. This play highlight’s themes of love, loss, friendship and strength, demonstrating characters who are both delicate and resilient like steel magnolias.

The play, directed by Dr. Kenna Higgins, features Joy Craig, Wende Killinger, Nancy Arnold, Michelle Stodden and Kayla Hackley.
Tickets can be purchased at MCYNV.com, or at the box office Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 -3 p.m. or one hour before showtime.
Show times are May 2 and May 9 at 7 p.m and May 3 and May 10 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Reserve tickets are $25. General admission is $20. Children are $15.
