Del Barker had a dream about going on an off-road adventure in the desert in an all-terrain vehicle.

His vehicle of choice was a Razor. Mesa Valley Estates, an assisted living facility, is known for making residents’ dreams come true through their “Ageless Dreams” program. They reached out to Virgin River Adventure Rentals, a local ATV rental business, and through this partnership, Barker’s dream became a reality.

Barker walked out the doors of Mesa Valley Estates to step into his dream on June 2. With a huge smile on his face, walking through a gold and black balloon arch, he was greeted by excited residents, staff and other team members. A black Razor was parked outside, waiting for Barker to step aboard.

Cowbells rang and poppers exploded with confetti as Barker buckled up and grinned from ear to ear. He enjoyed a two-hour adventure among the sagebrush and desert surroundings, was given an exhilarating side-by-side experience and saw the beauty of the great outdoors through rugged terrains and scenic trails. He checked off a bucket list item, and his dream came true. Mesa Valley would like to thank Steve Ralston with Virgin River Adventure Rentals for his willingness to make this dream a reality for one of their residents. Ageless Dreams will continue at Mesa Valley Estates with the help of the community.
