On Saturday morning, July 26, Beaver Dam/Littlefield Fire & Rescue received a contribution from Yardley’s Eagle’s Landing Travel Plaza-Pilot resulting from their 2024 November/December boot drive.

Fire Chief Jeff Hunt and eight members of his crew were there to accept the check. Karla Condor, regional manager, along with Jim Frump, general manager, presented the check. Condor said, “This money was raised from travelers, truck drivers and locals during our two-month long Fill the Boot Drive. Eagle’s Landing is happy to help our first responders. We plan to do this again next year.”

Captain Ernesto Renteris was excited about getting the $2,071, saying “We can use this money to get things our budget does not allow for, like training equipment, personal protective equipment, like gloves.”

After a picture in front of the fire truck, the crew went inside to be treated to pizza and cookies. Chief Hunt told Condor, “We will make sure Eagle’s Landing has their own pair of boots to use for the next boot drive.”

Yardley’s Eagle’s Landing are noted for their support of first responders in their areas.
