Great White brought their 2025 tour to Mesquite this past Saturday night to play a sold-out show at the CasaBlanca Resort and Casino. Every seat was taken in the Casa’s ballroom, and the back of the room was full of fans who paid for standing-room-only tickets. This area was good for dancing and rocking, as Great White music is not for sitting down to.
The band did not disappoint, playing the hits from the 1970s and 1980s. The set list included opener “Desert Moon” followed by “Lady Red Light,” and they also got the crowd rocking with “Stick It.”
Founder Mark Kendal played a mean guitar in front of a stack of Marshall amplifiers, and it was loud. He has surrounded himself with a group of talented young musicians, with drummer Audie Desbrow, Michael Larkie on keyboards and lead singer Bret Carlisle. Mr. Carlisle looked and sang like a young Robert Plant with his long blond hair and screaming vocal range.

The set continued with “Rollin’ Stoned,” “Big Time,” “The Angel Song” and” Save Your Love.”
The strong finish was “Rock Me” and “Once Bitten, Twice Shy,” which got them a standing ovation from the audience, ranging from baby boomers to millennials.
Mesquite Entertainment continues to bring top-name entertainment to Mesquite. The Foo Fighters tribute band “Foo Fitghtaz” will play the Casa ballroom Sept. 6.
On a side note, I spoke with Mesquite Entertainment CEO Justin Moore at the show. He told me there are lots of things happening at CasaBlanca. Watch for new restaurants opening soon, including national franchises and a New Jersey style-diner that will be open 24/7. The room renovations are complete on the lower floors and will continue on the upper floors in 2026.
CasaBlanca is the center of nightlife in Mesquite!
