In celebration of Constitution Week, the Daughters of the American Revolution’s Virgin Valley Chapter will be holding a bell-ringing ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park from noon to 1:05 p.m. on Sept. 17. The public is invited to attend.

The Virgin Valley Chapter of DAR is holding this bell-ringing ceremony along with all the other nationwide chapters, simultaneously commemorating the signing and reading of the United States Constitution on this date.

Mayor Jesse Whipple will be welcoming attendees. Vietnam War veterans Al Litman and Dominic Oliveto will be speaking. The Mesquite Bell Choir will provide music.

Event organizer Ruth Dickie said, “Bring a chair if you can. You can bring your own bell, or there will be bells available for a small donation.”
