Virgin Valley’s Davie Slack shot a round of 98 last Monday to finish third in medalist play at the 3A South League match held at Coyote Springs Golf Course in Coyote Springs.
Boulder City’s Emmerson Hinds carded a round of 79 to take top medalist honors, with her teammate Riley Elder finishing in second place at 87.
The Lady Eagles rolled to the team title by scoring a 364 to finish 56 strokes ahead of second-place Coral Academy of Science, Las Vegas, at 420. The Meadows School of Las Vegas placed third, a stroke behind at 421, with Virgin Valley shooting a total score of 458 for fourth place.
The Lady Bulldogs had five other golfers place in the top 22 in the medalist round.
Lexie Walker carded a 116 to finish 15th, while Maycee Harris shot a 120 to place 17th. Bella Jaehn had a round of 124 for 19th. Kenzee Burton shot 126 to finish 20th, and Alya Andrade was 22nd after shooting a 134.
The 3A South League match was held at Siena in Las Vegas Sept. 9.
Jaehn led the Lady Bulldogs, carding a round of 90 to place fifth in the medalist round. Slack shot a 92 to finish in eighth place, while Walker fired a round of 98 to place 13th.
Other VVHS golfers to place were Burton with a round of 105, Harris a 110 and Ellie Allen a 118.
Hinds captured the top medalist honors by carding a 78.
Virgin Valley was third in the team standings, recording a score of 385 to edge out The Meadows by one stroke to finish in third place. Boulder City placed first with a score of 345. Coral Academy was second at 372.
The next league match is scheduled for Sept. 30 at the CasaBlanca Golf Course in Mesquite.
