Beaver Dam/Littlefield Fire Department reported two incidents, one a shed catching on fire and a rollover incident on I-15 within the Virgin River Gorge. On Sept. 24, at approximately 12:40 p.m., a call was received about a shed fire that was growing bigger and threatening mobile homes nearby. The crew arrived to find the shed, a recreational vehicle and the right side of a double-wide home completely engulfed. The fire was extinguished with no injuries or further damage. Mesquite Fire and Rescue, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and Dixie Power also responded.
On Sept. 25, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a vehicle rolled over on I-15 northbound at approximately mile marker 26. Upon arrival, a single occupant was found outside of the vehicle. EMS reported no injuries to the occupant, and medical assistance was declined. Arizona DPS and St. George Fire and Rescue were on scene. Arizona DPS remained on scene to investigate.
Mesquite Police reported 20 arrests for the week, with alcohol and DUI violations as the most common charge. There were four arrests made for battery, domestic and child abuse.
