The annual Moapa Valley Veterans Day Parade, sponsored by the VFW Elwood Perkins Post 8336, will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

The traditional route starts at the Overton Community Center at 320 N. Moapa Valley Blvd. and heads south to Lin’s Market. Everyone is invited to attend to honor and support local veterans.

The parade date coincides with Armistice Day this year, and the time will reflect that historical event. The parade will begin at 11:11 a.m. Staging and check-in will begin approximately two hours before the starting time. This year’s theme is “We Will Remember Them.” The grand marshal has not yet been announced.

Parade participants are still welcome, and applications can be obtained by scanning the QR code. They can also be requested by email at mvveteransdayparade@gmail.com or picked up at ACE Hardware or the Moapa Valley Family Resource Center. Entries are due by Nov. 1, preferably by email.
